Gousen and Guevel Earn All-East Honors

Emily Gousen ran 17:11.81 to finish eighth. Katie Guevel finished fifth in the pentathlon with 3,453 points. Both athletes earned all-East honors. Allie Lewis qualified for Sunday’s 800m finals as the fourth seed after running a career-best 2:09.68 in preliminaries which broke Diane Hawley’s 25-year old school indoor record of 2:11.38. Alyssa Gaeto finished 10th in the long jump with her 18’ 1.75”. Kayley Byrne was 15th in the 5,000m in 17:32.38, Meghan Burns ran 4:59.19 in the mile for 19th, Ariel Burbey was 19th in 2:58.01 in the 1000 meters and Kelly McElroy was 24th in 3:02.35. Both David Groff and Cabel Rosanelli ran PRs in 2:25.08 and 2:27.44 to advance to the finals. Groff now ranks 5th in school history. Ian Fitzgerald ran 8:11.24 for 9th place and 8th on the all-time W&M list. Drew Midland ran a PR of 8:20.99 for 19th. In the pole vault, Kiernan Lofland tied for 13th after clearing the bar at 15’ 5”, and in the 800m, junior Ryan Jones (Harrisburg, Pa.) ran 1:54.50 for 22nd. Full Men's results
