John Malone's (1981) son won the national championship this week in 1:49 which is the #2 time in US indoor history behind Robby Andrews (who he is also behind in the 1000 meters). Above is an interview with him. Malone also set a meet record 4:11.66 to win the 1,600 at the Meet of Champs, ran a 1:49 x anchor for the third place place SM team on Saturday that ran 3:27.11, No. 2 in state history, and he ran a 9:12.02 2 mile at Easterns.
