Men 3rd, Arena 3rd at Lou Onesty Invite
The XC teams opened their 2008 seasons led by the third place finish by redshirt freshman Max Werner who placed 19th, finishing in 25:53.94. Sophomore Jay Bilsborrow ran second for the College, finishing 22nd in 25:56.33. Redshirt Freshman Chris Tyson placed 25th (26:05.34) just ahead of senior Bryce Wilk (26th, 26:06.44). Sophomore Robert Sagar finished 31st in 26:16.09, while classmate Skeeter Morris came in 52nd, finishing in 27:47.53. More

Emily Arena (pictured above) paced the Tribe finishing fifth in 18:47.04 (and thus earned CAA runner of the week honors), while freshman Heather Beichner placed seventh (19:27.82) in her first collegiate race. Virginia’s Lauretta Dezubay won the event, finishing in a time of 17:55.01. Juniors Ariel Burbey (19:47.35) and Kelly McElroy (19:50.69) had solid races for the Green and Gold in spite of the porous conditions, finishing in 11th and 12th respectively. Classmate Sallie Ford finished 14th in 19:56.92, while freshmen Kristen Dietz (17th, 20:22.95) and Brittany Sevachko (20:32.43) rounded out the Tribe runners. More
