IC4A Meet Opens w. Four Earning All-East
Sophomore Patterson Wilhelm (Lynchburg, Va.) earned the Tribe’s first All-East award of the weekend, placing fourth in the 5,000m run with his second fastest race ever, 14:19.23. In the same race, senior Dave Mock (Johnstown, Pa.) ran 14:49.45 for 29th, and junior Charlie Swartz (Manassas, Va.) was 30th in 14:49.62. CAA Champion Ben Massam (Chatham, N.J.) ran the team’s season-best time in the 10,000m, timing 30:23.09 for fifth place and All-East honors. More
Freshman Betsy Graney (Harper Woods, Mich.) was just off of career-best pace in the 3,000m steeplechase, but still ranked third in the field with her time of 10:41.68 to earn All-East honors for the first time. Junior Emily Arena (Manassas, Va.) also ran the steeplechase, finishing 20th in 11:24.99. In the 5,000m run, senior Emily Gousen (Arlington, Va.) was named All-East for the sixth time in her career after taking fifth in 17:01.98.
