Stimson Retires (sort of!)

If you attended the Colonial Relays' reunion you already know that Dan Stimson is stepping down from a paid coaching position.  I saw paid as he intends to keep coaching as a volunteer, but W&M is actively looking for a replacement.  I graduated in 1986 and remember the day that Dan interviewed as he then drove my coach, Roy Chernock, and myself to the airport where we all flew to the Penn Relays.  Stimson has been a tremendous asset for W&M ever since and, if memory serves, the longest lasting coach in track history.  Here is the retirement announcement. There is a party for Dan on the 7th of June at the Hawthorne's and if you can come, please e-mail Shelby (or me for her e-mail).
