Men 1st, Women 2nd at CAA

The men (holding out some of their runners) won their elevenths straight CAA meet w. 17 points while the women were second to JMU w. a score of 28-46 (with two frosh running in the top three for us).


Zach Gates claimed the individual crown in 24:16, leading a Tribe sweep of the top three places. Redshirt-freshman Josh Hardin finished second, two seconds back, andTom Burke was third in 24:20. Four more Green and Gold harriers also earned all-conference honors by finishing among the top-12, including redshirt-sophomores Alex McGrath and Peter Dorrell fifth and sixth in 24:30 and 24:32 More

Elaina Balouris led the Tribe with her third-place effort in 20:50. Balouris was only one second behind the second-place finisher, and is the first freshman named All-CAA for W&M since 2008. Classmate Kathleen Lautzenheiser was also named all-conference, taking seventh in 21:19. Senior Betsy Graney  earned her second All-CAA nod with a time of 21:35 and a ninth-place finish. Just missing the top-12 was junior Avery Mattingly 13th in 21:54, and redshirt-freshman Megan Fitzpatrick. More
