Anderson Qualifies for OT 1500 meter Semis
Anderson ran the fifth-fastest time in William and Mary history to finish fifth in her heat and 19th overall (based on time) and advance to the next round. The top six finishers in each heat automatically advanced, as did the next six best times from the whole field. In the semifinals, Anderson will need to finish in the top four in her heat of 12 to automatically advance, or post one of the next four best times. The semifinals of the women’s 1,500m will go off at 11:45 p.m. Eastern time today (July 4). Tribe fans will be able to watch the semifinals live on the USA Network, which will be airing live coverage from the Olympic Trials from 11 p.m.-1 a.m. Eastern.
