Sprinters, Field Event Performers Shine at CNU Meet
Freshman Katie Guevel broke the school record in the 60m hurdles and sophomore Nicole Kazuba (Chantilly, Va.) qualified for the ECAC Championships in the pole vault to highlight a day full of action for the William and Mary women’s track and field team. In the pole vault, Nicole Kazuba set a personal-record of 12' 7.5" in qualifying for the ECAC indoor championships. In the 60m dash, freshman Olofunke Fagbami had a pair of Tribe all-time top-10 performances timing 8.07 seconds, tying for the fourth-best performance in school history. In the long jump, sophomore Alyssa Gaeto jumped 18’ 1.5”, the ninth-best mark ever at W&M, to take sixth place. Senior Brandon Evans timed 7.35 seconds in the 60m dash, improving his personal-best in the event and ranking fifth all-time at the College. Redshirt-freshman Chad Cochran ran 9.20 seconds in the 60m hurdles, moving him into eighth place in school history. More
