Early Season Rankings
Head men’s cross country Alex Gibby thinks his squad has what it takes to equal or better last year’s eighth-place finish at the NCAA Championships, and the nation’s coaching association seems to agree, ranking William and Mary 12th in the nation. Read more. Meanwhile the USTFCCCA announced Tuesday that William and Mary’s women’s cross country team was tabbed as the eighth-place team in the Southeast Region with the release of the season’s initial set of polls. Over the weekend, the Tribe finished second at the Lou Onesty Invitational, only seven points behind the UVA Cavaliers who ar ranked 11th in the US. Read more.
