Friend-Uhl Wins Two Races at Master's US Championships

It is hard to believe that Sonja Friend-Uhl (on left) graduated just a few years after me and is still running so quickly.  This weekend she was helped set a 40-49 4x800 world record of 9:18.33.  She also won the 40+ 1500 meter race.  

Deb Boykin Honored

For those of you who were runners in the mid 1980s you well remember Jim Goggin and his wife Deb Boykin (how many parties did we go to at their home near the library).  Well Deb is now the long time director of Residence Hall Life and has been honored by the Virginia College and University Housing Officers who named their highest professional award after her.
