ECAC & IC4A Qualifications Led Meet At Navy

Some things never change.  Way back in the 80s when I was in school we too went to the Navy (back then it was a tri meet) and all these years later the team is still traveling to it.  Leading the way for the women was Elaina Balouris who finished second in the mile in 4:55 and is now #10 on the all time list. Frosh Sarah Katz finished second in the 400 m. in 59.27 good enough for 5th all-time.  At the GMU meet Natalie Baird through 50-8 to finish 2nd and move to 10th all-time for W&M. More

On the men's side, six athletes and the DMR qualified for the IC4A meet. Leading the way was Ben Katz who long jumped 23-8.75 for 4th all-time indoors. Also qualifying for the IC4A meet was Josh Hardin, Alex McGrath and Rad Gunzenhauser in 14:25, 31 and 34 in the 5K.  Also earning the IC4A trip in the 3K were John Muller and Joshua Mercado in 8:20 and 24 respectively.  The DMR team qualified in 10:17 and rounding out the fine performances was Matt Clark who noted a 7th all-time effort in 8.38 in the 60 m hurdles.
