Ethel Chernock Dies
I'll put up the memorial service details as soon as I know them. For those of you who were on the team in the late 70s and 80s, Ethel Chernock was somewhat of a mom away from home. She has been struggling with cancer for the past three years (after being told she had six months to live). She died last night (2.3.14) at home with Roy at 7:30. Roy and Ethel were married 62 years. More soon.

Frenia Closes in on George's Shot Put Record
Drexel George '77 just retired last spring as a long time Fairfax County, VA social studies teacher where he had deservedly earned a sterling reputation as one the leading world history educators. Now he is being (happily) stalked by Taylor Frenia who became just the second person (after George) to break the 57' barrier with an IC4A qualifying put of 57.025 at the VA Tech meet.
